CED Class : The Book of Ruth
The Book of Ruth: Sunday Bible Class
with Dr Peter Lau (CED OT Book Core Course)
The book of Ruth shows us a community that did what was right in God’s eyes. It is the story of God’s grace in the midst of difficult circumstances. Ruth’s story occurred during the time of the judges — a period of disobedience, idolatry, and violence. Even in times of crisis and deepest despair, there are those who follow God and through whom God works. No matter how discouraging or antagonistic the world may seem, there are always people who follow God. He will use anyone who is open to him to achieve his purposes.
Dr Peter Lau will take us through the Book of Ruth in 4 Sundays, covering the following:
- Weeks 1 & 2 (12 & 19 February): Examining the Book of Ruth
- Week 3 (26 Feb): Ruth within the context of the Bible
- Week 4 (4 March): Applying Ruth today
Dates: 4 Sundays, beginning on 12, 19 & 26 February and 4 March, 2012
Time: 11am-12.30pm
Fee: RM10
Facilitator: Dr Peter Lau
