What is the aim of this series?
In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”. Jesus also said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33. The main goal of these sessions is to develop an informed and supportive community, the “stretcher-bearers” , who empowers people to live well in Christ despite trying circumstances. In so doing, this community of “stretcher-bearers” aspires to represent Christ as the Wounded Saviour in whom all human brokenness will find complete restoration, even in situations where physical and/or emotional brokenness persist.

In time, she hopes that such effort can help reduce the effects of stigma and misconceptions associated with mental distress and/or mental disorders. Her ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life for individuals living with mental health challenges.
