Ascend Worship

Welcome to Ascend Worship

At PJEFC, we worship with young children in our midst, as part of being an inter-generational church. We believe that the habit of parents and children worshipping together is important in building strong families and ensuring faith is passed on to the next generation.

As such, the worship ministry at PJEFC, called Ascend Worship (based on Psalms 24:34), strives for a wider understanding of worship by being spiritually mature, theologically robust and musically versatile. The ministry aims to go beyond just the music on a Sunday morning, to inculcate the attitude of worship through various avenues: the Choir, Ascend Creative Tech and Ascent Performing Arts.

The team is also challenged to broaden our understanding and expression of worship for a diverse congregation that ranges from young children to seniors, and to think out of the box in terms of music genres, worship styles and our own abilities. As the ministry tasked with leading people into worship, we are reminded that true worshippers of the Most High God can only approach His presence with clean hands and pure hearts. We are to be mindful of our own walk and being before God.

Practices for Sunday service are regularly held on Saturday 1.30pm to 4.00pm and at 7.30am on Sunday morning. If you are keen to serve as musicians, singers or with the AV team, we would love to hear from you!

Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
